Christmas Time 2011

I'm starting this blog with my Dad in mind. I want a way to share pictures and stories from Virginia with my Dad in California. I have other family also living far away, but we manage to stay in touch fairly well with Facebook. Well, not everyone uses Facebook and there are stories to share with photographs and other memories that are captured so beautifully with technology. So, I'll try this approach and share the link with family and friends, but mostly the intended audience for this blog is my Dad.

Hi, Dad! I love you and am thinking of you at this holiday time. I hope that this blog can serve as a tool to share some stories and little snapshots of my life here in Virginia. It's an ongoing project that I send to you as a Christmas gift. Merry Christmas!

We started our Christmas holiday season with a community choir concert Katie performed in. This is a special choir Katie auditioned for at the beginning of the school year. There are youth, high school, and adult sections of the choir. When the recording of the evening is finished, I plan to send you a copy. The evening was stunning and magical. Can you find Katie in the photograph below?

She is on the side, near the Christmas tree! Mom came, and her father (Thomas) were there, as well as several other close friends and family. Here are a few more photographs of the event:

This is a nice photo of Katie with her long choir gown
and my fiance Mike Cvetanovich, on the red carpet!

This one shows the choir director with the high school group and the younger (5th-8th grade) singers in white. Katie is in the second row from the top a couple from the center. The photo is a little small, but you get the idea. Beautiful!

And here is one with Katie and her friend, also in the choir. Her name is also Katie! Two Katie's smiling for the camera in the church isle.

Love you, Dad!
